You will report to the Lead Maintenance Technician and be responsible for all building, grounds and equipment maintenance necessary to keep the entire facility at a peak operational state including preventative maintenance programs, analysis of mechanical and electrical breakdowns, and ensuring projects are completed within the scope of the maintenance department.
You will have the following responsibilities as the Maintenance Technician:
- Responsible for ensuring maintenance activities and preventative maintenance completed meets the company Food Safety, Quality & Legal requirements.
- Making sure that employees work safely and are properly trained.
- Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Manage parts and ordering of supplies needed to ensure plant continually runs for production needs
- Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic, and related systems and equipment
- Utilize problem solving skills to ensure installations, services and repairs are completed to minimize production disruptions
What qualifications will you have as the Maintenance Technician?
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance specializing in mechanical and electrical work on industrial equipment in a manufacturing facility is required.
- Food manufacturing experience is a plus as well as experience working in a TPM program and with Siemens Programmable Logic Controllers and/or Mettler Toledo metal detection/ weight checking equipment.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $25.00 per hour. Hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.
