Job Full Description
We have been asked by an Environmental Products Distributor in Carmel, IN to help them find a Customer Care Specialist. In this role, you will serve customer needs with urgency, ensuring follow-up and resolution to build strong relationships. You will maintain product knowledge, collaborate across the organization, and assist in shipping as needed.
This job opportunity is an evaluation contract to hire job paying $19 to $20.00 an hour. Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, on site.
What will you do as a Customer Care Specialist?
- Provide information about products/services and handle orders and complaints.
- Answer phones professionally and promptly.
- Greet walk-in customers and help answer their questions.
- Record and follow up on customer interactions.
- Assist customers with product needs and placement.
- Collaborate with sales to manage accounts and build rapport.
- Enter/process sales orders and maintain customer information in Epicor ERP.
- Be cross-trained in shipping in order to support and be a backup for the shippers.
- Pick and prepare orders from inventory for walk-in customers.
- Work as a team and suggest improvements.
What qualifications will you have as a Customer Care Specialist?
- Associate's degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of customer service experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with customer management/order processing systems such as Microsoft Great Plains, Oracle, Epicor, etc. strongly preferred.
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and customer-focused.
- Strong communication and conflict management skills.
- Professional and diplomatic issue resolution.
