Purchasing Specialist
The Specialized Recruiting Group has partnered with a well-known company in Central Indiana to help them hire their next Purchasing Specialist! This is not a contract role; this company is looking to hire!
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience managing the purchasing process in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay range goes up to 65k and is based on education and experience.
- This company offers a generous 401(k) contribution, PTO, 10 holidays, and benefits plan.
Schedule: This is first shift position typically Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm

Job Duties & Requirements:
- The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for handling purchase orders, the evaluation of vendors, and tracking inventory and the delivery of material.
- This individual must have previous experience with an ERP system and previous experience negotiating with vendors and a record of building successful relationships with them.
- As this person will be responsible for analyzing inventory needs, tracking delivery timelines, and communicating with multiple parties internally and externally, this individual will need to have excellent communication and organizational skills.
