Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in both operating and programming CNC milling machines for the aerospace industry. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-precision components for leading brands like Boeing and Rolls-Royce. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision aerospace components.
- Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Program CNC machines using G-code or other programming languages.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct quality checks and inspections using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary adjustments to optimize production.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and operational guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Required Skills:
- Experience in CNC mill operation within a manufacturing setting (aerospace experience preferred).
- Knowledge of CNC programming and machine setups.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot CNC machines.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Preferred Skills:
- Certification in CNC machining or related technical field.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion360, SolidWorks).
- Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or highly regulated industries.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in CNC machining preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay range: $20-35+ per hour, based on experience.
- Work on exciting, high-precision projects for leading aerospace brands.
- Machine shop environment (not climate controlled) with overtime availability and weekend work.
- Flexible work hours between 7 AM and 6 PM, with plans for structured shifts (8-hour or 10-hour) starting in 2025.
