Quality Technician/CMM Programmer
Seeking Quality Technician to work closely with a quality team for a leading aerospace manufacturer near the airport.
Job duties:
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to verify product compliance with dimensional and quality requirements.
- Document inspection results, non-conformances, and deviations, maintaining detailed records in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of inspection procedures, checklists, and quality plans to ensure consistent product quality.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes by providing detailed inspection data and participating in problem-solving activities.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues, recommend improvements, and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes to verify adherence to quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Participate in internal and external audits as required, supporting the quality management system (QMS) compliance with AS9100 and other relevant standards.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quality Technician or in a similar quality inspection role, preferably in aerospace or a similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in the use of precision measuring tools and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and CMM.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and inspection techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect and document non-conformances accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
