Warehouse Production & Order Fulfillment Associate
Job description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Warehouse Production & Order Fulfillment Associate to join our team. This role involves working on both the production and packaging sides of the warehouse, handling production (cutting product to order, and building crates of custom orders), order fulfillment, picking, packing, and inventory tracking. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using tools like table and chop saws, measuring tapes, reading a bill of materials, and using computer software like Microsoft Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production & Assembly:
- Read and follow a bill of materials to build customer orders.
- Handle and cut metal fencing using table saws, chop saws, drills, and grinders.
- Process and cut post materials as needed.
- Build and wrap pallets for shipment.
- Order Fulfillment & Packing:
- Pack smaller products based on a bill of materials.
- Track orders using Microsoft Teams and spreadsheets.
- Communicate with customer service teams at headquarters
- Update order statuses (in progress, shipped, etc.).
- Take and upload product photos into Teams chat.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Warehouse Experience: Prior experience in shipping, receiving, inbound, or order fulfillment preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using a computer, navigating Microsoft Teams, and updating spreadsheets.
- Tool & Equipment Use: Ability to comfortably and safely operate saws, grinders, and other basic tools safely.
- Attention to Detail: Capable of reading bills of materials and ensuring order accuracy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift to 40 lbs; some items may be large and awkward to handle.
- Culture Fit: Team-oriented, respectful, and adaptable to a small, close-knit warehouse environment.
- Pace & Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced setting depending on order volume
