Job Description:
The Gage Lab Tech ensures precision in measuring instruments, certifies equipment like CMM and Super Micrometers, coordinates repairs, and actively participates in ISO9001 and Corporate Gage System for accurate record-keeping.
Shift Times and Pay:
- 1st Shift: Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pm, $21.98/hr
- 2nd Shift: Mon-Fri 2:30pm-11:00pm, $25.62/hr
- 3rd Shift: Sun-Thurs 10:30pm-7:00am, $25.62/hr
*Train on 1st shift, 6:30AM-3PM, for approximately 8 weeks
Job Requirements:
- Hand-on experience with gage checking, repair and certification
- CNC machining background
- Ability to interpret part features to gage readings and gage readings to gage features
- Knowledge and use of surface plate layout and the ability to perform trigonometric calculations to determine dimensions that are not called out on the print
- Repair and troubleshooting require mechanical aptitude and ability
- Good communication skills are essential to performing this job function
- Above average keyboard and computer skills
- The incumbent must be able to work in a team environment, receptive to change and have good organizational skills.
