Job Full Description

Projects Center - Returns Processing

Do:

  • Sort books, document the condition, pack, and place them on the conveyor belt

  • Put away products and sort into gaylors

  • Open boxes and prep books for processing

Have:

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

  • Must speak English or Spanish

  • Ability to be cross-trained

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds when pushing boxes to conveyor belts, with some bending and squatting required

Get:

  • Pay: $16.00/hour

  • Shifts: Start at 5am, 6am, or 7am

Projects Center - Kitting

Do:

  • Assemble kits, apply special stickers depending on where they are selling

  • Build displays and put book sets together

Have:

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining focus

  • Team-oriented with the ability to stay focused while chatting with coworkers

Get:

  • Pay: $16.00/hour

  • Shifts: Start at 6am or 7am

Projects Center - Refurbishment

Do:

  • Rejacketing, removing stickers, preparing, and checking the quality and quantity of books

  • Check sound functionality and clean books

Have:

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining focus

  • Ability to work in a close team environment while maintaining productivity

Get:

  • Pay: $16.00/hour

  • Shifts: Start at 6am or 7am

Projects Center - Picking/Putaway

Do:

  • Pick books from receiving to send to refurbishing and kitting areas

  • Perform small picking tasks from shelves

Have:

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy

  • Able to work in a team environment and focus while working quickly

Get:

  • Pay: $16.00/hour

  • Shifts: Start at 6am or 7am

Projects Center - Shipping

Do:

  • Stack and wrap pallets

  • Perform heavy lifting tasks

Have:

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and maintain pace throughout the day

Get:

  • Pay: $16.50/hour

  • Shift: Start at 7am

Distribution Center - Shipping

Do:

  • Stack pallets, wrap pallets, and perform heavy lifting tasks

Have:

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and keep up with a fast-paced work environment

Get:

  • Pay: $16.50/hour

  • Shifts: Start at 5am or 6am

Distribution Center - Picking

Do:

  • Pick items from conveyor systems or use RF scanners on an upstairs carousel system

  • Confirm information back to the set and place the product in the box

  • If picking in the library area, push a cart and pick items using RF scanners

Have:

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in picking

  • Take ownership of tasks

  • Must speak English or Spanish

Get:

  • Pay: $16.00/hour

  • Shifts: Start at 4am, 5am, or 6am

Distribution Center - Inventory Control & QC

Do:

  • Ensure inventory is counted automatically by a machine

  • Package books and protect them with paper

Have:

  • Attention to detail to protect the books during packaging

Get:

  • Pay: $16.00/hour

  • Shifts: Start at 5am or 6am

Distribution Center - Replenishment

Do:

  • Replenish cases of books into flow racks or carousel systems for picking

  • Open boxes and perform manual labor tasks

Have:

  • No English required

  • Comfortable with repetitive work

Get:

  • Pay: $16.00/hour

  • Shift: Start at 6am
