TEST CELL TECHNICIAN
1st shift: 7:00a.m.-3:30p.m. EST; Mon-Fri
Wage: Based on experience
Job Purpose: To safely perform complete quality control checks on all Girtz power modules.
Job Requirements:
- Technical Certificate with 1 year related experience and / or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
- Ability to weld and operate machining tools.
- Basic computer, electrical and mechanical skills.
- Understanding of diesel engines and power generators
- Ability to use basic hand tools, electrical measuring equipment and tape measure.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions.
- Will be regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear.
- Will regularly be required to work outside in all types of weather.
- The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- The work environment is usually loud.

- Reliable and predictable attendance required.
Job duties:
- Testing all electrical circuits. Circuits would include, switchgear, power distribution fuel displays and battery charging systems. Make repairs to such circuits.
- Inspecting all aspects of engine and engine components.
- Mechanical repair of things such as coolant leaks, fuel leaks and fuel probes.
- Responsible for setting up power modules for test to include fueling of the unit, attaching load cables and AC house shore power.
- Electrical voltages would include 120, 240, 480 and 600 volts AC. Occasionally higher voltages are required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
