Job Title: Structural Welder
Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:30pm
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform MIG welding on structural steel components, ensure proper material handling, and meet quality standards. This position involves working with steel ranging from 1/8” to 1” thickness, including preheating 1¼” steel. The role also includes manual flipping of components weighing 100+ lbs in varying work conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel (1/8” - 1” thick).
- Preheat and weld steel up to 1¼” as required.
- Ensure structural integrity and high-quality welds per AWS certification standards.
- Manually handle and flip steel components (up to 100+ lbs).
- Work in environments that may be warm/cold depending on the season.
- Follow safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
- Read and interpret blueprints and welding procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines.
Qualifications:
- AWS Certification (preferred but not required).
- Proven experience in MIG welding for structural steel.
- Ability to manually handle and flip heavy materials.
- Strong understanding of welding preheat techniques.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.
- Proficiency in using power tools and measuring equipment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
