Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Maintenance Technician!
Position Overview: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by responding to maintenance repair requests in a timely and efficient manner, as well as preparing vacant units for new resident move-ins. This position plays an essential role in delivering superior customer service to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and efficiently to ensure tenant satisfaction.
- Prepare vacant units for new resident move-ins, ensuring they meet company standards.
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general building repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to maintain the overall condition of the property.
- Respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as required.
- Maintain and troubleshoot basic appliances and systems within the property.
- Complete maintenance reports and other paperwork as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations of the property.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance or related field.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, stoop, push, and pull over 25lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance needs.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Basic tools required, including personal smartphone technology.
- 2+ years of HVAC experience (Preferred)
- MUST be able to pass a pre-employment background screen.
Hours:
- 8am – 5pm
- Monday – Friday
