Our client in Cedar Rapids, IA is looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician!
Position Overview: The Lead Maintenance Technician will be responsible for overseeing and managing maintenance operations, including responding to service requests, preparing vacant units for move-ins, and ensuring the property meets all safety and aesthetic standards. This role will require strong leadership, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage maintenance staff, budgets, and inventory. The Lead Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the property is well-maintained and residents are satisfied with the services provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the maintenance team in daily activities and service requests.
- Ensure all maintenance repair requests are handled promptly and efficiently.
- Oversee preparation of vacant units for new resident move-ins.
- Maintain the property’s safety, appearance, and functionality
- Perform general maintenance duties, including light plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Track and manage inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Partner with management to prioritize and manage maintenance tasks and budget.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a Maintenance Supervisor role.
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance, including light plumbing and electrical work.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, carry, push, or pull over 50lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic tools required, including personal smartphone technology.
Hours:
- 8am – 5pm
- Monday – Friday
