Job Full Description
Our client in Mount Vernon IA is looking for a Maintenance Technician/Groundskeeper!
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply basic knowledge to repair and replace general fixtures including doors, hardware, windows, walls, flooring, ceilings, furniture, and light electrical work
- Assist with renovation and remodeling projects across campus
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed
- Conduct grounds maintenance such as mowing, landscaping, leaf and snow removal
- Maintain accurate records of work through CMMS software
- Assist with campus moves and the setup of offices, furniture, and equipment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet driving record requirements
- Strong skills using hand and power tools; prior maintenance experience or a relevant combination of education and experience
- Familiarity with CMMS and BAS preferred (training available)
- Comfortable with physically demanding work including lifting over 50 lbs and working in noisy environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Hours:
- 7:30am – 4:00pm
- Monday – Friday
Pay:
- $19–23/hour
