Job Full Description
Our client in Des Moines is looking for Maintenance Mechanic!
Duties:
- Install and maintain machinery and equipment
- Operate hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, PLC failures and pneumatic systems
- Repair, rebuild, maintain mechanical drive systems
- Install material systems
- Fabrication and welding
Requirements:
- Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
- Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc), lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed
- Basic welding, layout and fabrication skills – 2 years’ experience
- Experience with V-belt and Chain drive systems – 2 years’ experience
- Machine troubleshooting and repair skills – 2 years’ experience
- Experience with 480 volt – 3 phase motor circuits – 2 years’ experience
- Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge a plus
Pay: $22+
Hours: 7:00-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
