A formulator is a professional responsible for creating and developing products according to specifications and regulations.
Duties:
- Manage daily production schedule, monitor machine operation.
- Wear proper PPE for the jobs need to be done.
- Follow all PPE rules and requirements.
- Operate blend tanks, agitators, and various pump as directed by batch record.
- Operate material handling equipment including but not limit to forklifts, pallet jacks, and barrel handlers.
- Ensures accurate recording of all personnel assigned to batches and activities using Kronos to accurately track labor hours for job costing.
- Mixes chemicals in batches using computerized process control systems.
- Pulls raw material and finished product samples.
- Verifies proper raw materials are added according to formulas and minimizes waste.
- Participates in inventory counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of production/manufacturing experience is required.
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Math skills.
- Ability to work varying/rotating shifts.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Can stand for long periods of time in extreme hot and/or cold temperatures.
- Lift truck operator certification is required.
- Ability to work over 40 hours as needed is required.
- Capable of passing an OSHA respirator physical is required.
