As a metal worker you will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal by utilizing various tools and techniques, cutting, bending, and grinding and using machines.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently within the manufacturing facility.
- Assemble and fabricate components according to specifications on the assembly line.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet production targets.
- Assemble fabricated metal components into complete structures, aligning and securing parts according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues with equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or warehouse setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and operating forklifts is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Ability to work effectively in an assembly line environment while maintaining focus on quality.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety and efficiency in all tasks.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
- Precise measurement capabilities to ensure accurate fabrication.
