Service Station Technician
Location: Claflin, Kansas
The Service Station Tech plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and assisting with vehicle maintenance and repair tasks. This position supports the coordination of service schedules, inventory management, and facility upkeep, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patrons.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate vehicle service scheduling, maintenance, and deliveries.
- Assist in identifying vehicle repair needs and perform light mechanical work, lubrication, and tire maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of service station facilities, including Cardtrol/pump areas and tool organization.
- Promote new products and assist with inventory management and advertising.
- Conduct fuel and propane inventory checks and meter readings.
- Operate point-of-sale systems and assist with customer check-out processes.
- Support inventory management, including monthly inspections and ordering of supplies.
- Assist in various tasks such as filling propane tanks, conducting inspections, and performing inventory checks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer operation skills required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Capacity to handle physical demands, including lifting and manual labor.
- Willingness to learn and pursue additional education opportunities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Requires frequent physical activity, including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting of over 100 pounds.
- Climbing ladders and stairs may be necessary.
- Good vision and manual dexterity required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Exposure to various weather conditions and potential hazards, including moving machinery and chemicals.
- Noise level may be loud at times.
