Tender Truck Driver
Location: Zenith, Kansas
Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Tender Truck Driver for a Zenith location to support the agriculture industry by tendering rig operators, learning to operate rigs, and performing general vehicle and equipment maintenance. This position offers an amazing and very competitive benefits package and requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds, with occasional lifting over 100 pounds. The role often involves climbing ladders (20’ to 180’) and stairs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Tender fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to applicators and/or customers
- Load and unload fertilizer and chemicals, fill anhydrous ammonia tanks
- Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment, reporting any issues to management
- Operate all tending equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by managing difficult or emotional situations, responding promptly to customer needs, resolving questions, complaints, and concerns immediately, and meeting commitments
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on all agronomy equipment
- Learn, understand, and comply with all safety and government regulations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Familiarity with agronomy and equipment preferred
- Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) with Tanker Endorsement
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including days of the week, shifts, and hours per week (including overtime as needed)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to establish and maintain excellent rapport with customers and team members
Physical Demands:
- Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell; stand; walk; sit; climb or balance
- Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds
- Frequently climb ladders (20' to 180') and stairs, including structural ladders and climbing into large vehicles/tractors
- Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment:
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat; toxic or caustic chemicals; and vibration
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions; high places; risk of electrical shock; and explosives
- Noise level is usually loud
Additional Responsibilities:
- Operate within credit and operations guidelines
- Assist other locations to accomplish company goals
- Attend training opportunities to improve job skills
- Attend safety and training meetings
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on all agronomy equipment
- Complete all paperwork accurately and timely
- Effectively communicate with customers, employees, and management
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance
- Ensure prompt and regular attendance
- Perform all other duties as assigned
