Job Full Description
A Construction Clean-Up Worker is responsible for cleaning and clearing construction sites, ensuring the area is safe and presentable for the next phase of construction or for handover to the client. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, and knowledge of safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:

Post-Construction Cleaning:
- Remove debris, leftover materials, and trash from the site.
- Sweep, vacuum, or mop floors and surfaces.
- Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
- Dust and remove dirt from all surfaces, including light fixtures, vents, and baseboards.

Safety and Organization:
- Ensure that the site is safe for workers and the public by removing sharp objects, nails, and other hazardous materials.
- Properly dispose of construction waste and materials according to local regulations.
- Ensure that the site is free from environmental hazards, such as broken glass or exposed wiring.

General Site Maintenance:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in and around the construction site.
- Ensure that tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly.
- Assist with the removal of large debris using equipment when needed (e.g., forklifts, dumpsters).

Coordination with Construction Team:
- Work alongside construction crews to ensure that the site is ready for handover.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding cleaning progress and any issues encountered.

Additional Tasks:
- May be required to assist with light demolition and cleaning tasks during active construction phases.
- Assist in the removal of waste from the site to designated disposal areas.
- Prepare the site for inspection by city officials or clients as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot dirt, debris, and other issues that need cleaning or organizing.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safety protocols and construction site regulations.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Experience (Preferred): Prior experience in construction clean-up or similar work is beneficial but not required.
- Tools & Equipment: Basic knowledge of cleaning tools and machinery is a plus.
