As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our construction team's success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Equipment Operation: Proficiently operate a range of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and/or compactors, to execute assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Identify and report any issues or necessary repairs promptly.
  • Coordination: Collaborate closely with supervisors and fellow crew members to ensure tasks are completed as per project requirements and within specified timelines.
  • Safety Adherence: Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Damage Control: Monitor and control equipment operation to minimize damage to property, equipment, and utilities while maximizing productivity.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs and reports regarding equipment usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents that occur on-site.
  • Work Area Management: Keep your work area clean and well-organized, promoting an efficient and hazard-free workspace.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure open communication and a streamlined workflow.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven track record as a Heavy Equipment Operator, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Equipment Expertise: In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Safety Awareness: Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and practices.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Manual Skills: Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Communication: Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
