Pay: $27.00 per hour
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm

 

Position Summary:
As an IT Client Services/Desktop Support Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues at our Olathe office. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and supporting desktop hardware, networking systems, cloud-based applications, and other IT infrastructure. Your expertise and customer service skills will ensure smooth IT operations and efficient problem resolution.

 

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary on-site IT support contact for end users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Maintain and support Windows and Mac operating systems, MS Office 365, and other standard applications.
  • Provide IT project support for business initiatives.
  • Set up and maintain IT equipment, including desktop computers, printers, handheld scanners, and telephony systems.
  • Read technical manuals, diagnose issues, and provide technical assistance to users.
  • Support and maintain audio/video systems.
  • Provide computer and telephone orientation for new staff members.
  • Maintain a high level of service and adhere to IT support SLAs.
  • Perform additional IT-related tasks as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of IT support experience, including end-user/client service support.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Mac operating systems, networking, and ERP systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting basic IT infrastructure, including DHCP and DNS services.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications and Cisco VoIP systems is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills Required:

  • Strong multi-tasking and task prioritization skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships across departments.
  • Prior experience supporting IT operations in a warehouse or corporate environment.
  • Experience with warehouse IT equipment, including label printers and handheld scanners.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, Exchange, and Active Directory administration is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position may include lifting up to 40 lbs., navigating stairs, standing for long periods, and occasional kneeling, crawling under desks, or climbing ladders. Internal and External Interaction:
This role requires regular interaction with team members, supervisors, and IT personnel across multiple locations to ensure seamless IT operations and support.
