Warehouse – Cable Room Processor (2nd Shift)
Responsibilities:
Sit-down and Stand-up forklift experience required! This role is responsible for safely performing tasks necessary for the handling, cutting, and processing of steel cables and other materials. These tasks include, but are not limited to, receiving, storing, picking, issuing, packing, shipping, material handling, and inventory control utilizing computers and powered and manual cutting and material handling equipment (Sit-down and stand-up forklift)
Location: Lenexa, KS
Pay: $17-18/HR, PAID WEEKLY!
Schedule:
- 12:00pm-10:30pm, Monday-Thursday - 3 day weekend!
- 2nd Shift
- 10-hour shift
Job Overview:
- Working in the cable room
- Review the daily cuts, while coordinating/scheduling runs by priority
- Oversee all activity in the cable room, including Inventory, Scrap, MRB’s and housekeeping and supplies.
- Cut cable, lag as needed
- Identification on reels (i.e., order number, customer number)
- Provide reels, bulk reels as needed in the cable room.
- Scrap empty reels that cannot be re-used, manage reel needs by size.
- Responsible for all maintenance of the cable cutting machines
- Works closely with receiving on outside inventory & determining any incoming damage
- Evaluate cable returns, determine damage/good.
- Responsible for cable claims & communication line with Corporate Accounting
- Communicate with truck shipping on scheduling of trucks
- Cable Stock checks
- Able to work in a non-temperature controlled warehouse
