Irrigation Technician
Location: Olathe, KS
Base Salary: $50,000
Total Compensation: ~$62,000+ (with commission + bonus pay)
Full-Time | Year-Round Work | 45-50 Hours/Week

About the Role:
This isn’t an install position — it’s all about diagnosing, repairing, and improving existing irrigation systems. You’ll be working outdoors every day, in all kinds of weather. If you take pride in solving problems, working with your hands, keeping systems running efficiently, and you have a great attitude, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Troubleshoot and repair existing irrigation systems

Handle pipe repairs, coverage issues, wiring (2-wire & traditional), timer/controller issues

Replace and adjust sprinkler heads, valves, and nozzles

Enhance or redesign existing systems for better coverage or efficiency

Interface with clients in a professional, respectful, and solutions-oriented manner

Manage systems using Rain Bird and Hunter controllers
What We’re Looking For:

1+ year of irrigation repair experience (2+ preferred)

Technical knowledge of irrigation systems, wiring, and controllers

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Self-starter with a solid work ethic and dependability

Comfortable working long hours outside in all kinds of weather

Bonus if you’re certified (e.g., Backflow Certified through ISA)
Pay & Perks:

Base Salary: $50,000/year

Commissions on billed work (Expected total pay $62,000/year)

$30/hour average with commission

Bonus pay for hours worked beyond 40/week
