Job Full Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Property Maintenance Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep, repair, and overall maintenance of residential or commercial properties. You will be handling routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and performing repairs as needed to maintain the property in safe, functional, and aesthetically appealing condition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of property facilities and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property managers.
- Perform minor repairs, such as fixing leaks, electrical issues, drywall damage, and flooring.
- Maintain the exterior of the property, including landscaping, snow removal, and cleaning gutters.
- Ensure all safety procedures and building codes are followed during repairs and maintenance activities.
- Maintain an inventory of tools, supplies, and parts necessary for repairs.
- Report any major repair or maintenance issues to the supervisor or property manager.
- Assist with any move-in or move-out preparation tasks, such as cleaning, painting, or repairing damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in property maintenance, handyman work, or similar roles.
- Knowledge of basic building systems such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Flexible hours may be required, including weekends or evenings, depending on the property needs.
