Industrial Maintenance Technician–Baton Rouge, LA
Evaluation Hire
$25-30/hr
Mon-Fri: 6 AM – 4:30 PM
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for an industrial maintenance technician position. The client is a steel fabrication plant located in Baton Rouge. They are looking for someone to perform inspections and repairs on machinery in their shop.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Responsible for both mechanical and electrical repair diagnosis.
- Problem-solving to find the root cause of problems with the machines in the shop.
- Steel-toed boots are required.
- Reading Blueprints and diagrams
- Performing repairs and maintenance on overhead cranes and steel fabrication machines.
- Other tasks may be needed.
Qualities and Experience Required:
- 2-3 years of experience as an industrial electrician.
- Refrigeration Technician experience preferred.
- Electrical maintenance experience required
- Hydraulic technician experience.
- Experience in an industrial fabrication shop.
- Welding experience (not required but a plus)
- Experience as a diesel mechanic (not required but a plus)
