Industrial Large Capacity Forklift Driver – Baton Rouge
Evaluation Hire
$15 - 20/ Hr.
Hours: 6am-2:30pm
Mon-Fri, Saturdays when needed
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Large Capacity Forklift Driver with a minimum of 2 years of experience, specializing in moving steel beams and plates. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to transport materials within the facility.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Forklift driver:
- Safely and expertly operate forklifts, specializing in the handling of steel beams.
- Perform precise material handling techniques to ensure the safe movement and storage of steel beams.
- Load, unload, and transport steel beams with precision, care, and attention to product integrity.
- Use specialized knowledge to manage the unique requirements of steel beam transportation.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate steel beam movement and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Support production and scheduling needs through effective teamwork.
Skills and Qualifications Needed:
- Must have at least 2 years of verifiable work history operating a forklift, specifically moving steel beams and plates.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have experience working in a fast-paced fabrication setting.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate steel beam movement and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Support production and scheduling needs through effective teamwork.
