Plant Operator– Baton Rouge
FULL-TIME/LONG-TERM/EVALUATION HIRE
$14 / Hr.
Monday – Friday 6 am – 3:30 pm
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently seeking a reliable and hard-working Plant Operator for a local client in East Baton Rouge. A recession-proof company is seeking a long-term employee for an evaluation hire. Looking for long-term career-minded individuals to grow with the company. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Plant Operator:
- Operates various circuits
- Adds the proper additives to batches, in weighed amounts per batch sheet
- Pack finished goods in bags with pallets
- Operates mobile equipment
- Operates stretch wrap equipment, installing plastic bags as required
- Warehouses finished goods, stacking straight and level
- Unloads inbound trucks and loads outbound trucks
- Maintains the quality of the product
- Maintains equipment as required
- General clean-up duties when production is not being done.
- Maintains records related to the production, warehousing & shipping functions
- Performing all functions in a safe manner
- Maintaining a clean workplace, cleaning between runs and after production as required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must have steel-toe boots
- Must have previous forklift experience
- Previous experience with a front-end loader is not required but would be preferred
