Raw Material Room / Saw Operator Associate – East Baton Rouge Parish

Full Time – Evaluation Hire

$15/Hr 

Monday – Friday, 7am- 4pm

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for Raw Material Room / Saw Operator for a Baton Rouge company that provides repair services on all types of seals.  They manufacture and repair sealing pumps, mixers, compressors, centrifuges, and other pieces of rotating equipment.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Raw Material / Saw Room:  

  • Withdrawing items from the system to work orders or other departments.
  • Receiving UPS or freight shipments from vendors and either receiving them in the saw room or routing them to finished good inventory.
  • Check completed work orders for accurate raw material withdrawals.
  • Work with other departments when issues occur.
  • Assist in quarterly inventory counting and adjustments.  
  • Operating table saws and band saws to cut bar stock steel to the correct lengths. 

Skills and Experience REQUIRED:

  • Must be detailed orientated.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task when necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Must be able to do Data Entry, understand basic math, and reading a tape measure.
