Delivery Driver – Baton Rouge
$15-18/HR
Monday-Thursday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm ; Friday 7:30 am - 1 pm
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is hiring a Delivery Driver for a local company in Baton Rouge. This position will deliver materials and products to job sites, plants, and customers, driving a van or truck.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Delivery Driver:
- Load and Unload Materials in the shop, and on-site for customers.
- Loading and unloading materials by hand.
- Have a good customer service attitude and appearance when delivering materials on-site.
- Will be required to work in the shop when not making deliveries.
- Ensure the correct orders and quantities are loaded and dropped off to customers.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Will be Driving a company pickup truck or van
- Will be going into plants, and job sites.
Skills and Experience REQUIRED:
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
- Must be able to acquire a TWIC card.
- Verifiable experience in a previous driving role REQUIRED.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must have a valid driver's license. CDL or Chauffer's license is NOT REQUIRED.
- Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods
- Must be able to consistently lift heavy materials and be on feet for extended periods
- Must have steel-toed boots before starting
- Customer Service oriented
- Strong ability to take initiative
- Must be on time every day

- Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM; Friday, 7:30 AM - 1 PM (may extend due to workload).
