Exterior Door Installation Tech - Baton Rouge, La
Full Time - Long Term
$19/hr + Depending on experience
Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm
Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring an Exterior Door Installation Tech for a local Contracting company in East Baton Rouge, for a company that specializes in the installation and repair work on custom doors for commercial business's, government, and industrial companies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain doors, locks, hardware, and related systems.
- Perform thorough assessments of doors and hardware to identify issues and provide solutions.
- Work with both manual and electric tools to ensure efficient installations and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of door-related issues including hinges, locks, closers, and seals.
- Maintain a professional appearance and communicate effectively with clients.
- Ensure all installations meet safety and quality standards.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of all jobs.
- Assist with on-site measurements and estimates.
- Manage inventory and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working order.
- Ability to work in the warehouse when not going to job sites.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with hand and power tools is REQUIRED.
- MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE.
- MUST have steel-toed boots.
- Experience in construction sites REQUIRED.
- Comfortable working outside in the hot and cold.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable with general labor.
- Must be willing to work with a team, and assist co-workers to get the job done.
