Job Full Description
We are seeking a skilled Marine Electrician to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on a variety of marine vessels.
This includes reading blueprints, diagnosing electrical problems, replacing parts, and ensuring overall electrical safety on board.
Our ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Marine Electrician, with a deep understanding of marine electrical systems and components, as well as a commitment to adhering to all safety and procedural guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, install, and service marine electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and understand technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions in marine equipment and systems.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on marine electrical systems.
- Ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Order parts and equipment as needed.
- Prepare and present technical reports.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Marine Electrician.
- Knowledge of marine electrical systems and safety standards.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing marine electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.
