Job Description:

• Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials in a metal mill environment.
• Inspect cranes for safety and ensure they are in proper working condition before use.
• Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas.
• Communicate effectively with other team members and follow safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain records of material movements and ensure accurate documentation.
• Perform routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Prior experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or metal mill setting.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
• Must be able to work in a noisy, dusty, and hot environment.
