Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Location: Shreveport, LA (Local Position)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $20.00+ per hour, DOE (Depends on Experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Shreveport, LA. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate must have their own tools and prior experience working with heavy machinery. A CDL-A is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, including loaders, dozers, excavators, forklifts, and other machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative repairs.
- Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and provide effective solutions.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess mechanical failures.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Work independently and efficiently to complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Occasionally assist with on-site repairs or service calls as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience required in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
- Must have own tools to perform job duties.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment components.
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical documents.
- CDL-A is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
