Joey Martin is the Owner of the Express Employment Professionals franchise of Texarkana and now Shreveport, LA, USA, which has served the community for over 32 years. Joey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. After spending 7-years at the Corporate Headquarters of Express in Oklahoma City, Joey accepted an opportunity to become an Owner of the Texarkana franchise in 1997.
The success the Texarkana Express franchise has achieved over the past 30 years includes the highest awards given to Express Employment Professionals franchises including the 2014 “Franchisee of the Year Award” which is the highest honor given to a franchise owner, also in 2018 received the prestigious “Board of Directors Award”. Locally the Express office has received the “Partner of the Year Award” by the Texarkana Workforce Commission, the “Good Neighbor Award presented by the Better Business Bureau, and the “Power of One” Wilbur Award presented by Leadership Texarkana. Joey has become heavily involved and invested in the Texarkana community over the past 27-years. He has served on several boards and foundations including, The Executive Committee of the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce in which he served in 2020 as Chairman, Past Chairman of the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council, United Way, Chairman of the Southwest Arkansas Workforce Development Board, President of the Tri-State Society of Human Resource Managers in 2008 and currently in 2025, Past President of the Texarkana Wilbur Smith Rotary Club in which he still holds the honor of being the youngest President to serve the prestigious 100 year old Rotary Club.
Joey has served the Texarkana School systems as an advisor and committee member for Texarkana, AR, Texarkana, TX public schools, and Texarkana Community College. Joey speaks annually to High School and College students about preparation and expectations of the career opportunities and challenge they face upon graduation.
He and his wife Jamie a Nurse Practitioner in Texarkana who also is a graduate of Antlers High School class of 1994 have two children Jakob 23, who works alongside his father at Express Employment Professionals, and Joshua 17 who attends Trinity Christian School in Texarkana, AR.
