Forklift Operator – Unbalanced Loads
Express Employment Professionals is looking to hire a qualified Forklift Operator to work for one of the top lumber and metal distributors in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate has experience operating diesel and propane lifts moving 6,000-11,000 lbs unbalanced loads. Candidates that have experience transporting lumber and steel bundles are encouraged to apply. 1st 2nd and 3rd shifts with overtime are available.
Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator – Unbalanced Loads
- Operate diesel and propane sit down forklift transporting loads ranging from 6,000lbs-11,000lbs
- Transport bundles of metal, steel and lumber in the form or 15-20 foot stacks by balancing the unbalanced loads on forks
- Loading bundles from warehouse facility to flatbed trucks and containers completing about 60-100 turns per day
- Assist warehouse staff by performing labor tasks such as cleaning, repacking, stacking, wrapping or other tasks in the warehouse.
Requirements of the Forklift Operator – Unbalanced Loads
- 3 years of forklift experience in a high-volume warehouse setting
- Experience working in metal or lumber distribution is preferred
- Must be able to follow instruction and work with a team
- Overtime is required
Compensation for the Forklift Operator – Unbalanced Loads
- Full-time Salary: $18-20.00/hour
