Job Full Description
A leading specialty retailer of hard surface flooring is looking for Merchandise Handlers to join their team at their distribution center in the Sparrows Point, MD area.
As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for inbound and outbound shipments as well as handling specific customer orders. Ensuring physical inventory count is accurate is the most important part of the job as well as planning and leading the team in productivity, quality and safety. The associate would operate a cherry picker, reach truck, or counterbalance forklift to pick orders in a timely and effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operator of cherry picker, reach truck, or counterbalance forklift to pick orders
- Using the order picker to get merchandise
- Accuracy of all inbound and outbound shipments
- Maintain safety procedures at all times
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
- Must have 1 year of recent experience of required equipment
- $19.50 per hour
- Mon – Fri, 3pm - 11:30pm
- Saturday hours may depend of business need
