Our client is seeking a Custodian!
The primary responsibility of this role will be to maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility by taking out trash and performing light housekeeping duties, such as sweeping and mopping up spills. Additionally, this position will include minor landscaping tasks to enhance the facility''s outdoor appearance. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to creating a clean and safe environment for all staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning spills to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas (does not include restrooms, and office spaces).
- Assist in setting up or breaking down equipment and furniture as needed for events or meetings.
- Conduct minor landscaping tasks, such as trimming bushes, and maintaining flower beds.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Operations Manager promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
