Job Full Description
Our client in Salisbury, Maryland is seeking a Business Development Specialist. The chosen candidate will identify new business opportunities, services, and marketing strategies to help grow the company. They collect and manage data on sales and business processes, does market research, stays informed of industry trends and dynamics, and builds customers relationships.
This role involves essential skills such as strategic planning and execution, strong interpersonal skills, time management, and customer service skills. Some financial literacy is a plus.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify business opportunities and create strategies to meet goals
- Maintain and develop relationships with current and potential clients
- Assist with building brand awareness including upkeep of social media accounts, supervise company website, advertising, marketing materials, and job sign coordination
- Attend networking events such as trade shows and local sponsorships
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends and identify target audiences.
- Collaborate with various administrative departments such as Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources to create quarterly reports and SWOT analysis.
EDUCATION & SKILLS
The candidate should possess at least a 4-year college degree majoring in Marketing or Business. They should also have at least 2 years of related experience including marketing, sales, or business development. The candidate should also have at least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe, and WordPress. Experience with engineering or architectural firms is preferred.
