Barista I

Job Overview:
The Barista I delivers exceptional customer service while preparing hand-crafted, high-quality beverages. Responsibilities include taking orders, preparing coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, operating cash registers, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns. Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours, is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers, take orders, and prepare hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and specialty drinks, to customer specifications.
  • Ensure speedy delivery of beverages and maintain positive customer relations.
  • Arrange and display supplies attractively at the coffee bar or cart.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas, including coffee machines and preparation spaces.
  • Record sales, handle cash and electronic payments, and follow all cash-handling procedures.
  • Assist with food item sales if applicable.
  • Attend allergy and foodborne illness training sessions.
  • Report accidents and injuries promptly and participate in safety meetings and training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and inventory control systems.
