The Instrument Assembly Technician performs assembly, wiring, soldering, and testing of electronic and mechanical subassemblies. Responsibilities include quality inspections, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and integrate sub-assemblies into instruments.
- Maintain device history records and conduct basic component testing.
- Identify defects and suggest improvements.
- Read and interpret drawings and work instructions.
- Train associates in assembly and testing processes.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks.
- Follow safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma/GED
- MUST HAVE experience with electronics assembly
Skills:
- Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
- Strong mechanical tool and blueprint reading proficiency.
- Effective time management and teamwork skills.
- Basic computer skills in a Windows environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently.
- Capable of standing for extended periods in a repetitive work environment.
