Job Full Description
We are seeking a Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator Lead to oversee the day-to-day handling of shipping, receiving, and inventory management for our client, a distribution center in Ayer, MA. The right candidate will have hands-on experience operating forklifts, solid computer skills, and the physical ability to manage the demands of the role.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely to load, unload, and move products throughout the refrigerated warehouse.
- Handle shipping and receiving tasks efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain precise records using our inventory management system (training will be provided).
- Lift and transport boxes weighing up to 45 lbs as part of daily operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to streamline operations and meet daily goals.
Requirements:
- Must have previous forklift certification.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with inventory systems (training will be provided).
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Fluent in English; bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Previous leadership experience in a warehouse environment preferred
The hours are Mon-Fri 7:30AM-4:30PM with opportunity for overtime. The pay rate starts at $22/hr.
