Seeking a skilled Small Component Assembler for our client, a manufacturing company in Fitchburg, MA. The main responsibilities will be to produce high-precision components and assemblies with an emphasis on quality, efficiency, and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines and specialized tools for shaping, grinding, and polishing glass and optical materials.
- Interpret customer specifications, inspect finished products for quality, and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production logs, inspection records, and related documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; an Associate''s degree in Manufacturing Technology or a related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing tools, CNC machines, quality control tools, and reading specifications.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components.
- Must be able to stand or sit for 8-hour shifts, climb stairs, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The work schedule will be 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday
(40 hours/week and OT as needed).
