Job Full Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician for an innovative manufacturing company in Ayer, MA. The main responsibilities will be to operate and adjust manufacturing equipment while performing assembly, finishing tasks and quality inspections to ensure accurate production of components.
Responsibilities:
- Operate mechanical and hydraulic punch presses, flat presses, laminators, slitters and material cutoff machines
- Perform simple machine setups and make minor adjustments to optimize performance.
- Conduct precision bench work, including accurate fitting, adjusting, straightening, and flattening of parts using standard and specialized tools.
- Perform finishing work using simple tools or machines to clean, trim, separate, remove webbing, remove scrap, assemble layers, and flatten components.
- Inspect parts visually and with templates or gauges to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with established quality and production standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of manufacturing experience in assembly or machine operation roles
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail for precision bench work.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
The hours for this position are 7:00AM-3:00PM, Monday-Friday. This is a temp-to-hire/evaluation hire opportunity in a great company with lots of opportunities to learn and grow in a skilled trade.
The pay rate range is $21-$22/hr DOE.
