Warehouse Supervisor
Summary of Position
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting with managing and coordinating the activities of the warehouse personnel to meet shipping and production schedules as well as maximizing the department’s resources.
Responsibilities and Duties
As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Warehouse Supervisor. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
• Demonstrate understanding of company objectives and operating standards.
• Ensure customer’s orders are completed in an efficient manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Assist creating work schedules and estimating employee-hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
• Interpret and enforce company policies as well as basic safety and OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure delivery schedules are met.
• Assist all operations of shipping, receiving, warehouse and transportation.
• Follow up on training program to ensure all employees are trained accordingly.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.
• Control expenditures of departmental consumables including all packaging consumables.
• Ensure the proper disposition of all inbound/outbound freight.
• Maintain facility, equipment, and vehicles.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all company safety rules, regulations and quality standards.
• Adhere to all company handbook policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of warehouse experience
• One or more years of supervisory experience
• Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Ability to measure using different tools
• Ability to read and transfer data accurately
• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction
• Strong work ethic; self-motivated
• Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, suppliers, and management
• Valid State Driver’s License; safe driving record
Preferred Qualifications
• Four or more years of warehouse experience
• Two or more years of supervisory experience
• Product knowledge
Schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm pay is DOE starting at $25+/hr. Temp to perm with full benefits.
