Job Full Description
Permanent 2nd shift position with leading manufacturer that makes both steel and composite products. Salary DOE, $75-150K.
Responsibilities:
Investigate causes of mechanical failures on equipment, machinery, tools, and parts; Recommend and implement corrective measures
Observe operating conditions of equipment and machines where excessive breakage and defects in products occur; Recommend and implement corrective measures
Work to improve efficiencies by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements and equipment layout
Communicate with operation managers and maintenance department on daily issues
Assist in activities of mechanic and electrical maintenance when engineering support is needed
Review technical papers, catalogs, and other reference materials to confer with salespeople to select and recommend new technology and methods to improve plant operations
Execute building/equipment capital projects and provide timely updates
Provide training and guidance to machine operators and maintenance in proper operation of equipment
Support environmental and safety initiatives and track data
Requirements:
5-7 years experience working as an Engineer
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical or manufacturing preferred)
Experience with Solid Works, Lean principles and tools, and project management
Understanding of automation, machine integration, welding, plastics and high volume production
Understanding of compressed air systems, chillers, and hydraulics
Hands on mechanical experience building, retrofitting of machinery, trouble shooting and repairs
