Compound Specialist Job Summary
Location: Lowell, MA
Starting Salary: $20 - $24/hour
Hours: 6 am - 4 pm (4-5 days a week, OT available).
This is a full time, temp to perm position

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for setup and breakdown of equipment
Execute written instructions/procedures
Inform supervisors of any malfunctioning of equipment
Follow good housekeeping procedures and maintain a safe working environment
Follow all Safe Practices and safety policies and procedures
Report all accident, incidents, safety violations, near misses or unsafe conditions to your Supervisory IMMEDIATELY
Wear appropriate PPE at all times
Work closely with chemicals, pumps and mixing equipment
Handle chemical drums and tankers, pumps, filters, etc.
Assist with color design and sample preparation of PVD and polyethylene products
Take direction from the foremen on job set-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns
Record required data accurately and on a timely basis
Daily inventory of raw material for the purpose of calling materials from the warehouse
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or equivalent related experience
Willingness to work 12-hour shifts
Ability to lift and/or carry weight up to 50 pounds required
Ability to stand long periods of time
Ability to perform job function utilizing written procedures, verbal instructions, and visual aids
Ability to work and communicate effectively in a team environment
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
Ability to be ready at the scheduled time to ensure lines start on time
