Express Employment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support a local clients' needs in Detroit, MI.
Overnight Shift Available with Training on Days
Nights: 10 PM to 6:30 AM with required OT on weekends.
Pay : Based on Experience, Typically $25-$35/hr
Maintenance Technician Job Description
· Performs preventive maintenance (PM) tasks according to the manufacturers’ recommendations and the PM schedules. Recommends necessary changes to the PM schedule to the Maintenance Supervisor.
· Performs general plant or equipment maintenance in all areas as required.
· Maintains, trouble shoots, rebuilds the variety of pumps for the various processes as required.
· Diagnoses, trouble shoots minor electrical problems such as fuses, heaters, motors, and relays.
· Troubleshoots, calibrates, and performs routine maintenance on instrument controls, measuring temperatures, flows, pressures, levels, and other operating variables.
· Assists and provides support in performing daily tasks including but not limited to tool changes; assists or supports the operators or material handlers, as needed.
· Fabricates, builds structural devices as needed for the departments.
Qualifications
· A high-school diploma or GED is required
· 3+ years demonstrated understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic devices
· 3+ years background in electrical, pipefitting, welding, and soldering
· 3+ years troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment
· Mechanical aptitude, advanced knowledge of machine shop practices and strong math skills
