ACME Set- up Operator

Set up and operate one or more production machines involving intricate tooling and a wide range of operations. This would include close tolerances, selecting speeds and feeds, tooling and CAMS, planning operation sequence where necessary, devising methods of machining new and difficult jobs, and instructing others. Diagnosing machine trouble and making minor repairs

Schedule: 6am-4pm or 8am-6pm (needs to be flexible)

Payrate: $25-$28/hr.,

ACME Set- up Operator: 

  • ·          Responsible for operating several machines
  • ·          Primary responsibilities will include routinely inspecting the parts coming off the machine, loading in raw material, and performing preventative maintenance tasks.
  • ·          Overseeing training of new or Junior Machine Operators
  • ·          Operators are encouraged to keep their workstations clean and organized.
  • ·          Performing routine inspections of manufacturing equipment
  • ·          Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
  • ·          Adhere to all safety regulations
  • ·          Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • ·          Ability to read and understand prints.
  • ·          Ability to use hand and bench gages to accurately interpret specific part dimensions.
  • ·          Mechanical ability is necessary to do limited maintenance, such as tool replacements and adjustments.
  • ·          Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment around heavy machinery.
  • ·          Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift items up to 50 lbs.
  • ·          Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment and machinery on a regular and continuous basis.
  • ·          Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations, ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs., stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout shift

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
