Customer Care Specialist I Job Summary:
An engine manufacturer in Kentwood, MI is seeking a Customer Care Specialist I to join their busy and growing team. This position provides dealer support for parts, accessories, and engine distribution to dealers. This is a position that requires strong administrative and customer service skills.
Customer Care Specialist I Responsibilities:
- Fields customer service inquiries via an omni-channel support system; performs required research and responds in a professional and timely manner (provides available options to satisfy customer needs).
- Facilitates order processing for phone/fax/email orders and proves assistance for online ordering.
- Troubleshoots order and delivery issues, including required research and filing carrier claims.
- Identifies and reports problem parts to appropriate individuals.
- Confer with distribution center and common carrier personnel to expedite and/or track missing or delayed shipments.
- Processes returns and credits, including exchanges and dealer termination returns.
- Assists dealers with parts-lookup and engine replacements, including general inquiries, pricing and availability.
- Coordinate technical service issues with Technical Service Department.
- Promotes the use of company websites by dealers, including navigation and account management.
- Composes and distributes various reports.
- Assist dealers with understanding of company’s Policies & Procedures.
- Interacts with various departments on dealer issues with oversight from Manager, Supervisor, Sr. Customer Care Coordinator, or Customer Care Coordinator II.
Schedule & Pay:
- 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday (will require some flexibility)
- $20.00-$21.00/HR
Customer Care Specialist I Qualifications:
- 2+ years of customer service experience in an office setting.
- Comfortable utilizing multiple databases.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office and able to work well in a team environment.
- Assist in the promotion of company sales programs.
- Understand and communicate the parts supply portion of Factory Directed Modifications and Recalls.
- Coordinate communication of retail customer complaints with Consumer Services.
- Contributes ideas and suggestions to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
- Flexible shifts may be required based on dealer time zones and hours of business.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude; be self-motivated and able to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to accept responsibility and be relied on to perform is a must.
