Manual Lathe Machinist Job Summary:
A custom machine shop in Grand Rapids is looking for a Manual Lathe Machinist with manual lathe machining experience to add to its growing team. The company makes small production runs and custom parts and the manual machinist will be responsible for 1-5 piece runs of one-off parts.
Manual Lathe Machinist Requirements:
- Operate a manual lathe
- Perform multiple set-ups during a shift
- Handle tool changes and offsets
- Ensure quality with gauges, calipers and micrometers
Schedule: 1st shift; 7am – 3:30pm, Monday-Friday, some overtime after scheduled days is required, no weekends
Pay: $20-25/HR, based on experience
Manual Lathe Machinist Qualifications:
- 2+ years of manual machining experience required
- Flexibility to help in other areas
- Experience in tool changes and offsets
